The department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in 2010 with an undergraduate degree program, later in 2014 post-graduation degree program was started. The department has well-equipped laboratories. The department has well qualified and dedicated faculties with industrial and academic experience. To upgrade the industrial knowledge and enhance soft skills of students department regularly arranges industrial visits, expert lectures, workshops of current trends, value-added courses, etc.
Besides academics, students are open for various activities conducted at the department as well as institute level. Developing technical knowledge and skills is not enough for the overall grooming of students. Additionally, they need to focus on intellectual and organizational skill development activities. In accordance with this department has started “Revolutionary Association of Computer Engineers (RACE)” and “Students’ Club”. These forums mainly focus organizational skill development of students which is an essential skill for their career. These platforms provide students to gather and reveal their talent which enhances and nourishes their capabilities.
ICT (Information and Communication Technology) is contributing a lot in various education sectors; flipped classroom, NPTEL video lectures, etc have become a regular practice in the department. By considering the importance of eco-friendly technology department has adopted e-IQAC system and promoted Moodle. The demand of skilled computer engineers is ever increasing. Well known MNCs are visiting a college campus and students are getting opportunities to work with them.
